Random Flowers
Firstly sketch flowers randomly on to watercolour paper. Then paint background loosely with blue. Then build up the flowers and foliage.
I have not done any painting for weeks and struggled to do this piece.

Male Portrait
70s Throw Back
Firstly the paper was completely covers with a mix of Yellow Ochre and a bit of Orange watercolour, then left to dry completely. Brown, cream and white watercolour paint were mixed separately with quite a lot of water to make the paint quite runny, using one colour at a time flicked to form splashes, let it dry before adding another colour.
Mans face was sketched and various colours were layered applied to create the portrait.

Giraffe
I found this one challenging, out of my comfort zone, wrong choice of colours didn't help. Firstly sketched an outline of the giraffe then applied loose water colour randomly around the canvas, I don't think mine were loose enough.Must add more water. The finer details were added when the painting was dry using a fine liner. The outcome wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.
Hare
Felt a little more confident doing this picture.
I was more careful with colour choice's. The outline sketch was done first, and a looser watercolour was applied. When the paint was dry the finer details were added using a fine liner

White cottage
Really enjoyed this watercolour project, building up layers was a new challenge. I liked learning how to make the cottage look white using a blue and yellow.
Venice
Again this was achieved by the building up of layers. I felt I understood the use of perspective a little better.

Portrait
Again not my most favourite thing to paint. Sketched the outline of the girl, then just using black and white acrylic made up various shades of grey and then set to work. Gradually adding later upon layer to get the various shades. Not the most flattering of portraits but at least this one resembles a human being, even though she looks like she has been hit with a cricket bat!!
Pear
The choice is yours these colours were made using a mixing palette called the Zorn pallette. Just 4 colours were used and then blended to make the various shades.
Shades of grey Landscape
This was achieved using the left over acrylic paint from the jug project. A4 mixed media paper covered in black was used, them we had free range to do what ever we wanted. I started daunting paint on randomly and this picture evolved.
Acrylic landscape
A rough sketch was done firstly to get the feel of the picture, then sketched again on a mixed media paper. Free range was used on our colour choices. What I liked about this task was how although we work from the same image everyone in class has a totally different finished picture.
