Circular Wood
Using A4 paper drew around tea plate to create perfect circle. Very little outline sketching was done just basically placing waterfall and grassy area's. We then used gouache gradually layering the colours allowing to dry inbetween. Then trees were added using grey first which gave the effect of being in the distance.Black was used for the trees in the foreground, and eventually a leafy like border was applied to the circumference of the circle.
I enjoyed doing this task very much and found it relaxing.

Limited colours - Jug- Acrylic
Still Life (black, white, red, yellow and blue)
Using 4 colours is known as the zorn palette. (Is black classed as a colour) you can get so many various shades just by mixing small amounts of these.
Lightly sketched the jug then went over the outline with a brown made by using all but the white.
The background was then done using various shades of black/brown allowing it to dry in between applications. Not one of my best pieces of work, I like using a more vibrant palette.

Black and white trees - Acrylic
using no prior sketching we layered up the background and worked our way to the foreground eventually adding the finer details of the trees.
Mixed media still life
Still Life using Gouache and pastel coloured pencils
Gouache is still a new technique and as a class we are still unsure of this medium. First a sketch was done then layers of gouache were applied. We don't do Still life very often and I'm sure it will improve in time.

Moody road -Black and white Acrylic
Moody Road
This was done in acrylics using only black and white.
Firstly a light sketch was done then we mixed the various shades of grey by adding more and more white allowing the layers to dry inbetween application. I do feel that a little more details could be added to this picture, when I get the inspiration.
