Castle Gate entrance
This was a particularly interesting subject for me, as I lived in a flat overlooking Caerphilly Castle many years ago, this brought memories of my time living there.
I used the grid method as suggested by Rob.
I like working with Pen and Ink, my past efforts gave the impression that the drawing was flat, so I hope to have got this one with a bit more depth, as the term goes on I am seeing things differently.

Brecon Beacons
I find that for me to sketching the outlines helps, and is beneficial, it helps me with prospective.
This was quite challenging because of the reflections.
It took me a while to complete, but I got there in the end

Black Mountains
In the first part of this lesson we spent time mixing colours, I found this very helpful as I struggle to get the shades to look realistic, I'm happy with the result, but still need to work on mixing paints.

Jug
This was painted in Acrylics, using mixtures of Black and White, making different shades of Grey.
I found not being able to draw an outline very challenging, but on the second attempt I got the shape of the object.

Landscape
I jury is out on this one, I may re-do it.!!!

White Cottage
This was a pleasant project, I seem to be getting a better understanding of prospective, I feel the chosen colours make it quite dramatic

Pear
This was a very interesting lesson, we spent time mixing colours, something I struggle with, I hope this will give me more realistic paintings to come.

Venice scene
Challenge 2.
The sketching was complicated, had two try’s at this, felt I got the prospective right, (not sure if Ruben would have been happy )😃, colours still in progress, but will keep trying.

Building on a lake
Challenge 1.
My sketch on this picture took me some time, but I was sort of happy with the outcome, the painting of it was enjoyable, lots of detail, my sense of colour needs improvement. I found it got better by layering different shades of reds and browns.

Portriat in ink and watercolour
This was quite a challenge for me and ended up being a bit scary.
I had lots of encouragement from the tutor and other students in the class.
The outcome was not as good as I wanted, but will keep trying.

Acrylic portrait
I enjoyed this challenge, but I have a long way to go to get a realistic image.
I feel as though I got the proportions fairly correct, I drew the outlines first,
I find this an easier option for me.

Flowers
This was an exercise I thoroughly enjoyed, with the bright Acrylic colours
It made me smile, I feel that I got the essence of the exercise
And was pleased with the outcome.
