Lemon and cup - Acrylic
7th Jan 2026

Glass of wine - 19/11/25
I found this one very challenging but think I managed to capture it ok. Thought the glass looked lonely so decided to add the grapes in a bow.

"Lion" in acrylic -
12/11/25
Loved doing this and really pleased how it has turned out. I am getting more confident with acrylics which I was initially quite scared to use.

Painting by Ron Lawson - 05/11/25
Another Ron Lawson which again I loved but switched up the colours.

Plockton Wester Ross
15/10/25
Finally finished this one. I enjoyed the use of different mediums and found using the gouache a bit easier this time.

Boat
I enjoyed doing the sepia boat and the way it looks worn.

Pen and ink and watercolour after Matty Burnham

Daffodil
The cottage and daffodil also with the different mediums but wished I hadn’t gone back in and made the lines darker on the daffodil.

Plockton photo
Also the watercolour of Plockton which was challenging and saw me wiping off the hills and redoing

Vibrant trees in acrylic
Loved the vibrancy of the trees and learning how to obtain the marks on the silver birch.

Pastel study of bird
After artist Mike Beeman

Field of flowers
Loved doing this with all the attention to detail on the different flowers and the background.

Acryic - Prairie Sky
Was initially nervous doing acrylics but really enjoyed this task and feel more confident now.

Pastel - Path in the woods
Not identical to the task but did my best as missed the class. Messy but fun.

Sheep resting

Tiger's eye
I had never done any drawing or sketching before and am particularly pleased withe this drawing which my daughter wants to frame.

Winter watercolour

Acryic steps to blue door
This was my first attempt at using acrylics and painting on a board. I really enjoyed this project and the use of a different medium.

Old Cottage ink and watercolour
Enjoyed this task as made me feel more confident with sketching and liked using the different mediums of pen and ink with watercolour.
